The steps wind down around the mountain
They've been living off the evergreens
- headed for the ocean
When the gate is finally opened
They recognize, and stare...
The mellow people are coming downtown
The sun never goes, never stays, never drowns out
Where did the people go?
- said that they were coming downtown?
The sun never left, had to stay, never calmed down
... the mellow people never made it back from downtown
